Service
Three two-day retreats will be dispersed throughout the program. At the heart of the retreats will be both team building and service learning. The first day will consist of team building and leadership workshops, and the second day will allow the scholars to work together in a community service project that they care about. This will ensure scholars remain active in the Colorado community throughout the program and that they are applying what they learn in the classroom to the outside world. Potential community service activities include but are not limited to:
- Habitat for Humanity
- Rocky Mountain National Parks
- The Boulder Homeless Shelter
- COPIRG
- La Salud Health Clinic
- The Boulder Humane Society
